Our Scientists Participated in the Meeting of the Coordination Council of the Pharmaceutical Cluster of the Kharkiv Region.

On 16 March, the National University of Pharmacy hosted a regular meeting of the Coordination Council of the Pharmaceutical Cluster of the Kharkiv Region with a focus on practical implementation rather than planning.

The meeting brought together representatives of Kharkiv’s scientific and educational community, including SSI representatives: Director General of the Institution, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Volodymyr Semynozhenko, First Deputy Director General and Director of the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry, Academician of the NAS of Ukraine Valentyn Chebanov, Deputy Director for Research Olesia Kulyk, Head of the Medical and Biological Laboratory Viktoriya Lipson, and Head of the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Technology and Analysis Olena Bezugla.

The discussion focused on the development of the cluster, new areas of cooperation, specialist training, and partner engagement. Particular attention was paid to education in pharmacy, chemistry, and biology, as well as to ways of encouraging young people to pursue natural sciences, which underpin future innovation.

Participants discussed promising research projects and identified those ready to move from concept to implementation.

A key decision was the inclusion of new members in the cluster:
    • State Institution “I. I. Mechnikov Institute of Microbiology and Immunology of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine”
     • LLC “Scientific Centre for Development and Implementation”
In addition, participants reviewed the draft Regulation on the Coordination Council and the Cluster Secretariat. This document defines the status, formation procedures, and powers of the Coordination Council and the Secretariat, as well as regulates their activities, decision-making processes, and coordination among cluster members.

Summing up the meeting, Volodymyr Semynozhenko noted: “Work does not stop - and this is critically important, especially for frontline Kharkiv. The integration of science, education, and business creates synergy in developing solutions that contribute to the security and future of the state.”
