The Center for Collective Use provides researchers from the Academy of Sciences and other scientific institutions in Ukraine with access to modern equipment for studying the molecular and crystal structure of materials at a high scientific level. The Center's specialists possess deep scientific expertise in this field and offer consultations to users regarding the results of experimental work or quantum-chemical calculations, as well as support for publications. The engineering team ensures the continuous operation of the equipment. The extensive experience and diverse specialization of the specialists allow for fruitful collaboration with a wide range of Ukrainian researchers.
Main Areas of Work:
- X-ray diffraction studies of single crystals to determine their molecular and crystal structure.
- X-ray diffraction studies using the powder method to determine crystal structure, phase composition, perform phase analysis and study phase transitions in crystals.
- Consultations on the properties of crystal and molecular structures and the optimal methods for studying them.
- Providing access to the computational cluster and its software, as well as consultations on the use of equipment and the specifics of quantum-chemical calculations.
The equipment available through the Center includes single-crystal and powder diffractometers, as well as a computer cluster for resource-intensive parallel computations.
The Center for Collective Use 'Molecular and Crystal Structure of Materials' was established by the Resolution of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine No. 322, dated April 28, 2004.
