The call is aimed at supporting cutting-edge fundamental research that addresses pressing scientific challenges through the efforts of leading and early-career researchers. These projects are expected to respond to contemporary challenges and the needs of Ukrainian society, strengthen Ukraine’s global competitiveness, foster the development of national research capacity, and promote integration into the global research area.
Thematic areas of the Call: fundamental research on the most important issues related to scientific and technological, socio-economic, socio-political, and human development, with a view to ensuring Ukraine’s global competitiveness and the sustainable development of society and the state (priority area defined in Article 3, paragraph 2 of the Law of Ukraine “On Priority Areas of Science and Technology Development”).
Project duration: up to 3 years.
Total funding: up to UAH 800 million (in 2027 — up to UAH 300 million; in 2028 — up to UAH 250 million; in 2029 — up to UAH 250 million).
Submission period: March 25 – April 24, 2026.
Timeline for scientific and technical evaluation and announcement of results: by December 15, 2026 (tentative).
