The newspaper “Світ” has published an article by Dmytro Shulikin titled “How to overcome bacterial defenses, or how resistance disruptors work.”
Antibiotics are increasingly losing the battle against infections, and bacterial resistance has already become a global threat that is particularly acute in Ukraine due to the high number of combat injuries. In this context, research aimed at finding new approaches to enhancing the effectiveness of existing antibacterial agents is of particular relevance. These issues were addressed in the report “Advanced multicomponent biomedical materials for overcoming bacterial resistance” by the head of the Laboratory of Medical and Biological Research at the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry of the State Scientific Institution “Institute for Single Crystals” of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Dr Victoria LIPSON, at a meeting of the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine…”
