On 15–16 January 2026, Athens hosted the inaugural meeting of the international consortium of the BOOSTSCIENCE project — ‘Improving the quality of education and fostering entrepreneurial thinking in the field of natural sciences in Ukraine.’ The event was held in a mixed format (in person and online) with the support of the European Union's Erasmus+ programme.
The host was the Hellenic Open University, which brought together representatives of universities and scientific institutions from partner countries. Our scientists took an active part in the consortium's work, in particular, the director of the Institute of Functional Materials Chemistry, academician of the NAS of Ukraine Prof. Valentyn Chebanov, head of the department of analytical chemistry, Dr. Kostyantyn Bielikov, and senior researcher, Dr. Olesia Kulyk, who are involved in the implementation of this project. They joined the discussion of the key stages of the project implementation.
During the meeting, participants focused on:
- organisational and managerial aspects of project implementation in accordance with the requirements of the Erasmus+ programme;
- quality assurance procedures;
- the formation of the BOOSTSCIENCE strategic roadmap;
- further stages of development and implementation of training modules in the educational programmes of Ukrainian partner institutions.
The working meeting in Athens was the first step towards consolidating partnerships, defining joint actions and strengthening international cooperation for the successful implementation of the BOOSTSCIENCE project, emphasising the importance of professional international communication in the field of science and education.
